Assists principal investigator, Dr. William Greenough, with all aspects of his academic career including: outside meeting scheduling, editing and contributing to research papers originating in the Greenough lab, travel arrangements for principal investigator and other members of lab, internal research meetings, academic position searches, multi-investigator research projects, assist in hiring research support personnel, periodic updating the animal subject approval documents, coordinating with outside national/international media, assisting in coordinating various activities involving members of the Beckman Institute Biological Intelligence Research Theme, journal editorial management, research-related selection of and interactions with undergraduate course credit research assistants, correspondence, research grant preparation, budget preparation and budgeting, initiate process for periodic reports and assist in generation of new funding proposals, overseeing all expenditures and keep track of financial support status of the entire lab, organizing and maintaining principal investigator's 37-year collection of published papers and unpublished manuscripts and the sending of appropriate reprints upon request, organizing and maintaining principal investigator's 37-year collection of peers' publications, and assisting laboratory personnel, as necessary and appropriate, with various aspects of experiments.
